How long does the au pair have to stay in the family?

Hi I’m an Italian girl, I’m a student

 and I would really like to be an au pair in UK, during the month of September (2018). 

I’m ready for new adventures. 

I want to know.. how long is the period of the au pair? 2 weeks? 1 month?

thank you for your message! 

From our country information you can see that there is no official minimum stay defined for au pairs that come to UK, but usually the host families would prefer someone who could stay a bit longer, for example three months. It will be a big change for them as well to have a new person coming in every few weeks. Of course this would be something you should discuss together with the host family and agree the exact time with them.

Thank you so much for answer my question! 

I said a few weeks or like 3 weeks in September because in October I have to start my university here in Florence.. so that’s the reason and I hope my host family will understand it and hopefully welcome me.
