The au pair programme has been designed primarily for individuals, which means that, to the best of our knowledge, there are no contracts covering two (or more) persons at the same time, especially when one of them has already passed the age limit.

In fact, reading through the various country information, you can see how some countries arrive to deny the visa (where necessary) to the spouse of the au pair candidate.

Consequently, in my opinion, even if the family decided to host your boyfriend, they would have to do on other grounds than as an au pair (taking into account all the consequences with regard to possible visas, employment laws etc.).

In any case, the suggestion always remains to check, before leaving, with the authorities of the country of your interest, the legislation that applies to the specific case.

il programma au pair è stato concepito essenzialmente per delle singole persone, questo significa che non sono previsti, per quanto a nostra conoscenza, contratti che riguardino contemporaneamente due (o più) soggetti, tantomeno quando una di essi abbia già superato il limite di età consentito.

Di fatto, avendo modo di leggere tra le varie informazioni sui paesi, potrai verificare come alcuni tra loro arrivino a negare il visto (ove necessario) anche al coniuge dell'aspirante au pair.

Conseguentemente, a mio parere, se anche la famiglia decidesse di accogliere il tuo ragazzo, dovrebbe farlo ad altro titolo che non come au pair (con tutte le conseguenze del caso per quanto riguarda eventuali visti, legislazione sul lavoro etc.).

In ogni caso il suggerimento rimane sempre quello di verificare presso le autorità del paese di tuo interesse, prima di partire, la legislazione che si applica al caso specifico.
